how to buy and FAQs

I've made a little list of questions that I think would be the most asked ones, just to make it easy on the transactions that might happen. So here it goes:

  1. How do I purchase something?
    • If you like something and want to buy it, send me an e-mail (myworldforsale@gmail.com) with the name of the item you want (it'll be on the post's title) and where you live, so I can send you the shipping costs as well. If you agree with the final price then I'll send you a Paypal invoice. All prices are in Euros. You then have three days to pay for it, otherwise the item will be back for sale. Please bear in mind that all items are on a first come, first serve basis.
  2. Wow! Do you make these?
    1. All of the items come from my wardrobe - so no, they are items bought in shops from all over the world. But I might sell my items one day - hopefully!
  3. I don't understand UK-European sizing / How do I know if the item will fit me?
    • Please go to the "Who am I" section of the blog, where I explain a bit more about  measurements, sizing and how to measure yourself to see if the item will fit you.
  4. Do you have a smaller/bigger size of this item?
    • All of the items I'm selling are from my closet - so no, I don't have any other sizes. However if there is something you want and it does not exist on your country (like a dress from Topshop or any other brand), please contact me on myworldforsale@gmail.com and I can see if I can help you with your request.
  5. Are all the items brand new?
    • All of the items posted here come from my closet. Some have never been used and might even still have tags attached. Others might not have tags attached but still be brand new, as well as items that have been used but are still in great condition. All of the items will be in one of those categories:
      1. Brand New With Tags - item is unused and has its tags attached;
      2. Brand New Without Tags - itemis unused but doesn't have tags attached;
      3. Almost New - item has been worn a handful of times;
      4. As New - item has been used but still in great condition;
      5. Needs work - item needs repair / some TLC (tender loving care);
      6. Vintage - item was bought in a vintage shop.
  6. Where are you and do you ship abroad?
    • I'm in Barcelona, Spain and yes, I do ship worldwide.
  7. How much are the shipping costs?
    • Well, it depends on where you live: If you understand Spanish you can enter the Correos website - http://www.correos.es - to check how much it would approximately cost. Please bear in mind I also have packaging costs. They are small though (and I'm not here to profit from shipping charges, trust me).
    • If you don't understand Spanish, please send me an e-mail with the item you want and where you want the item delivered, so I can check how much it would cost based on weight and location.
  8. Wow, those shipping charges are expensive!
    • Yes, unfortunately Spain has a VERY overpriced Postal Services. Once again, I'm not here to profit from shipping charges. If I'm travelling to a country where postal charges are less expensive (like the UK or France), I'll post the item from there and I'll give you back the difference.
  9. How long will it take for my item to arrive?
    • As I said before, the Spanish Postal Service isn't great, and it's VERY slow. So usually an item shipped from here takes about one week to reach Western Europe, three to four weeks to reach Brazil. These are just for you to have an idea - it might take less (or longer, unfortunately). Again, if I'm travelling to a country where the postal services are better, I'll most definitely ship from there.
  10. What is Paypal?
    • Paypal is the easiest and most secure way you can make a transaction. I don't have to see your bank details or credit card numbers, and you're also protected for any problems regarding the transaction. Please check http://www.paypal.com to understand more.
  11. Oh, I forgot to pay / I had spoken to you about an item / I had asked for a quote / and now my item appears sold. What happened?
    • Unfortunately items are sold on a first come, first served basis. If you took some time deciding about it or to pay for the item, it might have been snapped up by someone else. I do try to be as fair as possible, but I can't wait for too long and lose a sale. Please understand that this is like a shop - if you want to think about it, it might be gone by the next day.
  12. I haven't received my item - what happened?
    • If you have paid for shipping with tracking and/or insurance, please do contact me and I'll try my best to sort the problem for you. However, once item is shipped, I do not hold myself responsible for it. So I would advise you on asking for shipping with tracking number and insurance to safeguard yourself from any trouble.
  13. I didn't like my item / My item didn't fit / was too small / big. What should I do?
    • Unfortunately I'm not a shop who has a structure to receive back items. All sales are final and once you've agreed and paid for an item, it is yours to keep. So please check your measurements and the item's in order to avoid disappointment.
  14. Damn! You're mean, woman!
    1. Please bear in mind I'm not mean - I'm just safeguarding myself  - and you! - from any problems that might occur. I think this is the best way to act when selling online; but if you have any suggestions, I'm always open to improving my services!

I hope these will answer all your questions. If you have any questions regarding the selling process or specific items that aren't answered here, please do not hesitate on contacting me through myworldforsale@gmail.com.
